Stempel (as Neue fette Gotisch) in 1899 [Wetzig 1926–40]. Adopted by many other
foundries — Reichardt lists AG für Schriftgießerei, B. Krebs, Böttger, Brendler, Brockhaus,
C.E. Weber, Doskocil, Genzsch &
Heyse, Gebr. Klingspor, Gursch, Haas, H. Berthold, J. John, Klinkhardt, Linotype, Ludwig
& Mayer, Roos & Junge, Rust, Schriftguss, Schelter & Giesecke, W.
Woellmer; Rühl (as Gotisch breitfett); Berger,
Gutenberg, and Trennert (as Gotisch modern fett).
Courante Gotisch (also: Kurante Gotisch)
is a lighter style.
