Vosto5: Snaha je patrná (“Vosto5: The effort is evident”) offers an insight into the guts of Prague-based theater ensemble Vosto5 in a creative crisis at the peak of their careers. A docufiction book, a readable dada collage about members of the ensemble, including vast pictorial archive from the group's long history. Written by Martina Sľúková.

The publication measures 150×210 mm, spans 168 pages, and comes in a softcover with a PVC foil dust jacket.

A line of products that balances vintage influence with a modern edge.

Common House put Clearly to great use for the branding, cocktail menu, website, and “lift tickets” for their Alpine ski bar The Matterhorn. Clearly is used for the bar’s logotype and as the primary display typeface with Aperçu and Aperçu Condensed as complimentary sans-serifs.

Keith Freeman, Common House Creative Director, talks about the inspiration behind the pop-up bar concept in the Daily Progress:

In a more significant way, though, the theme was influenced by something my dad always touted as his favorite place on earth: the ski lodge after a long day on the mountain with friends and family,” he said. “The warmth, the camaraderie, the drinks and snacks, the mess of thawing scarves and hats and socks. To him, to me, it was always the best part of winter and our favorite place to reminisce about the day’s adventures and simply enjoy being together. Selfishly, this was what I wanted to recreate and share with Charlottesville. The mountains are not too far and many are familiar with this experience. But for those who have never been to a mountain lodge, we wanted to bottle that feeling and make it more accessible.

Bush’s Best canned baked beans are the best-known product of Bush Brothers and Company, founded in 1908 in Tennessee, United States. Their baked beans – based on a family recipe – were launched as a retail product in 1969.

In 2021, Carmichael Lynch was hired for a redesign, providing the venerable canned food brand a fresh look. A new color palette with primary colors is paired with Aperçu Condensed by Colophon and Estudio Calderón’s Bordonaro Script. On the website, body text is rendered in Aperçu’s regular width.

From the latest GenZ movement and behavior, Beck’s Ice gathered their expression to announce their new rebranding movement with “authenticity, unexpectation and thought-provoking”. By unlocking new elements and breaking the previous appearance, Beck’s Ice becomes “more relevant and true to its bold attitude ready for the new booming digital mediums, their Beck’Stage platform for underground culture & younger generations.”

Aiming for better presentation on shelves and various types of usages on print and digital mediums, the new logo unlocks new possibilities for deconstructing multiple elements into new formats of logos such as the new Beckey as a supergraphic icon and many new forms of logotypes.

Inspired by the 100% malt German beer formula, the new color palette is called “German Palette” with the striking new YellowZ as the new main brand color and black, red and white as supportive colors.

Through its Beck’Stage festival, the brand focuses deeply on verbal communication such as rap, musical lyrics and trending verbal sayings. Therefore, typography naturally becomes brand key elements to visualize and design their messages. Vietnamese support was added to the two brand typefaces: Arges (Blaze Type) and Aperçu Condensed (Colophon). The custom version of Arges was rebranded as Chillz Display with “cheering diacritics” inspired by pouring and clinking moments when drinking; a new Beckslant (backslant) style supports the typographical expression. Chillz Aperçu is used in multiple weights as supportive “hypebeast” typeface for body copy.

We recreated the packaging layout by opening a “Beck’Side” for playful designs and special collaborations. This design offers brands and marketeers a new canvas to express messages and campaigns. OIn line with the motto “staying close to your crew”, the new merchandise system will stay close to streetwear culture with tag accessories for sneakers, streetwear clothing and hypebeast toys.
