Shown by Filmotype in 1955 as a new release named Label [Filmotype 1955]. Photo-Lettering showed a very similar or identical design as Aligner, an “original handlettered design”, in 1965 [PLINC 1965], but not yet in 1960 [PLINC 1960]. Also shown by VGC under the alias A-88 [VGC 1969], by Phil’s in 1980 as Fleetwing ’44 [Phil’s Photo 1985], in Dan X. Solo’s Bold Script Alphabets (Dover, 1989) as Fleet, and later as Label Script [Solo 1992].
