This condensed face with concave stems probably goes back to an old metal or wood typeface. Shown in the Solotype catalog of film typefaces as Nottingham (caps only, used for sample), which is not necessarily the original name. F 259 (with lowercase) from Headliners’ Morgan Press Collection appears to be identical. Shown in a Lettergraphics catalog (1968) as Peril, with lowercase that is much wonkier than the one in F 259.
