A film typeface designed by Phil Martin in 1969 [Martin] and released as part of Alphabet Innovations Vol. 1 [1976 AI Index]. Copied by Castcraft as Margit, which is different in several details [George Thomas, Canada Type]. Lettergraphics had both Margit and Harem, the latter as Margit No. 2.

Digital interpretations include Harem (The Font Company, 1989-95; with faux small caps in the lowercase) and Johnny (Canada Type, 2006; revised and extended, used for sample).
