Designed by Frank H. Riley around 1942, but not released by ATF until 1948 [McGrew 1993]. Comes in upright and italic styles. Alternate caps with swishy ball terminals were produced in the italic for A, K, M, N, and S.
Digitizations of the upright include Neo Contact (Linotype/URW, also sold by URW as Marlboro, discontinued as of 2024?) and OL Contact Classic (Dennis Ortiz-Lopez, used for sample). See also Colonel Serial.
