VMAN is an American bi-annual avant-garde fashion magazine featuring men’s clothing. It features the entire Protokoll family as well as the yet to be released ExtraBold and Black styles. They are set to be released by Out of the Dark.

Protokoll is in use throughout the publication. The secondary typeface is Phaistos by David Berlow and Just van Rossum. The catalog was designed by Studio Martin Stoecklin, with Rahel Preisig and Adrian Schnegg, and published by Hatje Cantz.

Berlin-based Danish installation artist and sculptor Jeppe Hein (born 1974) explores his interest in breath in the exhibition and eponymous catalog Inhale, Hold, Exhale at the Kunstmuseum Thun, Switzerland.

The publication includes exhibition photographs, essays and a conversation between Hein and museum director, Helen Hirsch.

Initiated and supported by 40mcube, in partnership with the École Européenne Supérieure d’Art de Bretagne and the company Self Signal, GENERATOR is an experiment, a professional training program for young visual artists and an international residency for curators.

This publication presents a portrait of this unique program, its actors as well as the tools and strategies developed to address the complex issues of professionalization and precariousness of young artists.
Through this editorial project, an emerging scene of artists and curators is highlighted, as well as the social, pedagogical and political issues and implications of the training and status of art workers today, through historical and theoretical approaches.

Typography is an object of everyday life for everyone. It is omnipresent and yet usually not consciously perceived. The processes behind the design of typefaces or their applications, and the cultural and individual factors that contribute to design decisions, are usually not comprehensible to outsiders.

How do designers perceive typography? How does individual perception translate into design? Perspectives on Typography is an attempt to answer these questions and to show which thought and work processes lie behind the typographic work of various designers — a curation of the multifaceted richness of typographic design. Articles, essays, interviews, project presentations and visual interpretations of typography offer both designers and non-designers the opportunity to broaden their perspective and create a framework for reflection on their own perception of typography.

The Bachelor thesis Perspectives on Typography was created by Inga Paulussen at Münster School of Design. The fonts in use are G2 Erika, G2 Erika Mono, and Protokoll.

Pensée is a independent beauty and contemporary culture magazine and digital mag born in 2020. Pensée is the place where underground culture meets pop, giving unconventional models and personalities space to express themself. This title aims to become a cultural provocation and landmark of radical fashion, style, and graphics.

The magazine logo uses Stefanie Vogl’s yet unreleased Autark. The typeface on the cover and spine is Super Eighty by Michael Bagnardi. Text is set in Jan Estrada-Osmycki’s Wulkan, with Andy Karter’s Miratrix for headings. In further roles: Times New Ramen by Ryder Ripps and Protokoll by Tobias Holzmann.

Dualist is the first 100% reversible parkas brand, launched in Paris in September 2019. Graphic, urban, high-standard and designed in an eco-responsible way, Dualist parkas were designed by Deborah Janicek, with over 20 years' experience in premium and luxury brands, in product and general management positions.

From the beginning of the project, we were approached to work on the identity of the brand, from naming to creative direction. The logo is based on a homemade typographic design, with fixed width, high contrast, and the monogram D is subtly duplicated according to precise alignment rules; the whole ensures that the typographic block has a perfect balance, combining power and finesse.

We have developed a radical and unpretentious graphic territory, with raw and refined applications, meticulously worked. The typefaces chosen, Protokoll and Gza from Out Of The Dark (Zurich), enhance the overall graphic design of the campaigns, packaging and the website.
