The condensed range of the Futura family was started with the schmalfett (1930), followed by schmalhalbfett (1936) and schmalmager (1950) [Reichardt 2011]. A fourth Extra Bold Condensed style with oblique was added at Intertype in the 1950s and isn’t part of Bauer’s official series.
The digitizations by Bauer Types, Bitstream, Berthold, Linotype, Elsner+Flake and ParaType all have four condensed weights plus (oblique) italics.
