Forbes Ukraine has released a new issue of the magazine. This issue promises to be diverse and intriguing for readers. It covers various aspects of modern Ukrainian life. In the magazine, you’ll find the first list of top employers for veterans, the “30 under 30” list of promising young Ukrainians, 40 companies that entered foreign markets during the war, and the stories of Maria Berlinska and Vsevolod Kozhemiako, along with nearly two dozen other articles.

To emphasize the publication's national character and support for Ukrainian designers and creative professionals, the designers used the stylish Ukrainian fonts Cy Grotesk and Varp by Maksym Kobuzan for one of the cover headlines and the “30 under 30” section.

Bonifacio is located at the southern spot of France, in Corsica. For the city branding, we were inspired by the vintage posters of Air France (a French airline company), typical of French territorial graphic design in the 1970s. We opted for a font combination with a strong identity and vintage mood.

The logotype typeface Avantt by Displaay gives a strong personality to the brand communication, even when the font is used on its own. The typeface is altered (with rounded corners and shaky lines) in reference to the textures and eroded walls that are characteristic for Bonifacio.

Combined with playful colors and naïve illustrations, the titling typeface Bobby by F37 Foundry creates a warm and inviting brand identity. The use of italics yields a contemporary dynamic and helps putting forward important words and action verbs in an attempt to focus on the diversity of activities you can experience in the city and surroundings. Euclid Circular B by Swiss Typefaces completes the typographic palette.

Comida Mexicana is a cookbook by Rosa Cienfuegos, published by Smith Street Books, and designed by Evi O and typeset by Megan Ellis. The food photography is by Alicia Taylor.

The book title is set in Cako, paired with all caps Poplar. Table details use a few styles of Knockout. The sans serifs used for recipes is Euclid Circular B. From the Australian Book Designers Association:

Create a Mexican book like no other: the perfect brief. Celebrating the gusto of Mexican wrestlers snorting hot salsas and fighting giant, brave chillies, the design and art direction reflect the spirit of the culinary. Colourful food is styled against colourful props and saturated colours are contrasted, all framed by directional red-blue-peach design. The typography is as bold, and illustrations are added to carry humour throughout. The cover is boldly illustrated, featuring a wrestler in a ring with a taco, while the edge is full of flair with a pattern stamped, making this a cookbook designed like no other.

The national campaign launched by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) to inform about the coronavirus and the Covid-19 disease makes large use of Euclid Circular B and Plain Super.

Ethereal Interface is Valerio Di Mario’s Master thesis made at ISIA Roma. It explores the ways in which different devices can communicate with each other and with their users, focusing on the field of human—computer interaction and non-verbal language.

The term “Ethereal Interface” is related to a UI system through which different objects can share data and allow access to their hardware to amplify the communication capabilities of the individual devices. Research against the obsolescence that has as its fulcrum the sharing of heterogeneous inputs and outputs, mediated by an Artificial Intelligence.

Chair Airlines is a new Swiss airline that started operating in summer 2019. It’s actually the successor to Germania Flug, one of the two subsidiaries of Germania, which declared bankruptcy in early 2019. The Swiss subsidiary ran the same color scheme as the German parent company, which could cause confusion among passengers and their main customers – airlines and travel operators that charter Germania Flug aircraft. To avoid negative publicity it became clear that the company would need a whole rebranding within the shortest possible time.

Zurich-based branding agency Branders took care of the new identity, from naming to visual communication. The new name is the first thing that strikes: Chair. It's fun and quirky in an industry where company names are usually very serious. Chair stands for the actual seat that customers book for their flight, but it’s also a play on words as CH is the two-letter country code of Switzerland (standing for the Latin name Confoederatio Helvetica) and Air represents the airline. This is enhanced by the dynamic color scheme, a peppy red and a bright blue, used in the wordmark.

The livery on the three Airbus A319-112 from the company use an extra large cropped and rotated version of the lowercase “i” and its red tittle, embedding a Swiss flag. This set of abstract coloured shapes is used as the company visual signature.

Euclid Flex (with a modified lowercase i) is used for the logotype. Euclid Circular B is used on any other element, including tickets, app, safety cards & advertisements. These two collections are both part of the Euclid family available from Swiss Typefaces.
