Permanent Headline

Designed by Karlgeorg Hoefer as a display extension to Permanent, but originally named just Headline. Released in 1964 in solid and open (licht) styles. A kursiv followed in 1969. Descending alternates for ‘gjpqy’. All three styles eventually had a lowercase [Reichardt/Hoefer] [L+M index cards].

All three styles were adopted for phototypesetting by VGC [VGC 1972].

The regular is the only style in the Permanent family that is available digitally.
