Originally made by Johann G.I. Breitkopf together with the
punchcutters Christian Zinck, Johann Michel Schmidt and Johann
Peter Artopaeus in 1750, apparently as a modernization of the
Neudörffer-Andreä-Fraktur. Revived in 1899 by the
Klingspor foundry and subsequently recut by various foundries.
[Kapr 1993] Issued by Klingspor in 1905
(also cast by Ludwig & Mayer, Ludwig Wagner, Schriftguss, and by
Berthold as Original-Breitkopf-Fraktur), by Stempel in
two weights in 1912/1915 (also for Linotype, large sizes in wood),
and by C.F. Rühl. Available for the Intertype. Adopted by Monotype
