An expansion of Euclid, a set of letters designed in 1939 by Alvin Lustig (1915–1955) from geometric pieces of metal type. Completed and expanded through a collaboration of designers Craig Welsh and Elaine Lustig Cohen, based on twelve uppercase letterforms from the original design that had been retained in archive material. The glyphs are made from four geometric shapes aligned to an underlying grid. HWT Lustig Elements was cut as wood type cut at Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in 2015. The digital version was made at P22 in 2016.
