Part of a series of typefaces designed by Henrik Kubel in 2015 for the exclusive use by The New York Times Magazine. NYT Mag Serif comes in three optical sizes – Text, Headline, Serif – each in four weights with italics. Named inspirations are Astrée a.k.a. Mazarin) as well as the sharpness and contrast of the magazine’s blackletter masthead. Complemented by NYT Mag Sans and NYT Mag Slab.
