Designed by Albert Auspurg and issued by Schelter & Giesecke in 1914 in two widths. Also known as Kartenschrift Gnom. No lowercase. Both widths include a capital eszett (as SZ ligature). A peculiar extrawide ‘M’ was later replaced by a more conventional form. Also made in a Cyrillic (“Serbisch”) version. [Seemann]

The series further includes Perkeo (handtooled/highlight), Kolibri (open with midline), and Tauperle (like Perkeo, but with additional horizontal hatching).

The regular width was sold by Brendler as Mignon, while the breit (extended) was available from Idźkowski as Kometa [Reichardt]. Warnery had Gnom as Mozart noir and added an inline version as Mozart diaphane.
