Designed by Carl Albert Fahrenwaldt and issued by Schriftguss AG in several styles; Antiqua, Kursiv, schmalhalbfett (all 1929), halbfett, fett (1930). The italic comes with alternate swash caps (as such also known as Minister-Zirkular) and additional swash initials. Later cast by Typoart. Minister-Kreis-Versalien (1933) is a set of caps, numerals and punctuation, reversed in a disc.

Symbol-Versalien (1933, hatched) and Prominent-Versalien (1936, solid) are related sets of display caps with a negative contour. Revived as Ademo (Astype, 2011).

There are various digitizations of Minister. Linotype’s was made by Alex Kaczun in 1987 and spans 4 weights with italics. Also sold by Adobe. Used for the sample.

The versions by Elsner+Flake, Scangraphic, and URW are largely identical to each other, but clearly different from Linotype’s. They span 3 weights plus 2 italics. See also Administer.
