A pictorial alphabet in which each letter is drawn around a female face. Two styles, Black (solid) and Outline. Some letters (‘AFL’) come in two shapes. Shown as a “New type” in [Mecanorma c.1979].
Digitized by Build for their NFCU project in c. 2008 [Michael C. Place] and by Daylight Fonts (both unreleased). In 2010–2013, Dick Pape made an autotraced freebie in five styles, adding variations like white instead of black hats and a grunged “Speckled” style. The sample uses his Via Face Don Black Lines, adjusted. Neutura released an uncredited commercial version as NE Cérie (both styles with added figures and some deviations, 2011).
