Issued in metal in 1933 as Grotesque Condensed (No.4), adapted from a design by Turlot. A.k.a. Grotesque Condensed 383. Also made in Greek and Cyrillic [Gill 2020].
Grotesque Condensed Titling 523 (1939) is an all-caps display version distinguished by a more open ‘G’ and a compact ‘Q’ [JBJ].
The digital version is bundled with the Monotype Grotesque family as Extra Condensed.
