Bank Note Italic, 3D ornamental caps with small caps with a few optional swashes, was released by Boston Type Foundry ca. 1863. Bank Note Roman followed about 20 years later. [Reichardt 2011] Patented Dec. 20, 1870. [patent] Sold by MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan as Oblique Shaded.
