An interpretation of Akzidenz-Grotesk, ft. a larger x-height, a double-storey ‘g’, and round dots. Originally conceived by Erik Spiekermann in two styles for text and headline, to be used in his biography Hello I am Erik (2014). Extended by Ralph du Carrois and released in 2015 in Text and Head families, each in 13 (upright) weights. The Text styles are distinguished by wider spacing, a seriffed capital ‘I’, a tailed lowercase ‘l’, and wider forms for ‘f’ and ‘t’. Later followed by italic styles with cursive forms, and in 2018 by a second set of obliqued italics.
