A bold all-caps alphabet shown by John Albert Cavanagh in his 1946 book Lettering.
Adopted by Photo-Lettering as Cavanagh Palisade [PLINC 1950] and by Techni-Process as AN 84 [1967 catalog]. Later shown by PLINC as Palisade Graphic [PLINC One Liner 1971]. Lettergraphics’ name was Limey Caps (also shown in Typeshop catalogs).
Castcraft had a digital version as OPTI Palisade Graphic, which was copied by QBF as Pharao. Also digitized as BigBlack (Lazy Dog Foundry, 1992), Big Black (Bulldog), Charleston Caps (Type Associates, 2007), and, with credits and more dedication, as Fast Freddy NF (Nick’s Fonts, 2011, used for the sample).
