Origin unclear. A phototype version named Quartz is shown in a 1985 catalog by German typesetting studio Stulle, in two weights plus obliques.

FontBank had a digital version named Quiver (1990–91), in three weights plus one italic. As of 2020, versions are available from ITC, URW (1993; previously w/ contour and shadowed styles, now w/ Outline and Mono styles), and Elsner+Flake.
