Issued by Farmer as Spread in c.1887 [Reichardt 2011]. Similar to the narrower Enchorial by Caslon, who showed this wide style as Enchorial Expanded. It’s unclear where it originated.
Reproduced by Petzendorfer – apparently via the French branch, Fonderie Caslon – as Enchoriales larges [Petzendorfer 1905].
Photo-Lettering had an adaptation as Enchoriales [PLINC 1965].
Alan Jay Prescott made a digital interpretation based on Enchorial as Enclave Expanded (2017, with Enclave Roman, unreleased?) [Devroye].
