Klingspor’s subset of 12 styles of Reform-Grotesk
B, a late 1920s/early 1930s reworking of Stempel’s
Reform-Grotesk
(Stempel, 1904–24), with the addition of a 13th
breitfett style (1956). Released as Information in
1953 by Stempel’s subsidiary Klingspor. [Bertheau 1995]. After Klingspor ceased
typefounding in 1956, Stempel continued the schmal fett, eng fett,
breit halbfett, and breit fett styles [Schriftenkartei 1958–1971]. Also carried by
Genzsch & Heyse as Nordische Grotesk [1963
letter].
The condensed
styles are very similar to
Plak Condensed. Hanseatic is Linotype’s revision for
phototypesetting.

Berthold released a digital version of three styles in 1993, which is now unavailable perhaps because Linotype owns the Stempel rights.
