An early design by Adrian Frutiger, commissioned by Charles Peignot as sturdy script face to counter Fonderie Olive’s Mistral (1953). First written with a broad pen on tracing paper, Frutiger subsequently cut the letterforms out with scissors. Alternates for U V E M N. [Osterer & Stamm 2008]
