Asaf Mono was designed in 1982 by Zvi Narkiss as a serif monospace in a regular weight, to be used in daisy wheel printers. These printers were marketed in Israel by the Bamberger-Rosenheim company: Named after Assaf, the son of one of the company’s managers, Elchanan Rosenheim. Fontef’s revival, Narkiss Asaf, is the first digital appearance. It comes in three flavors: the original Mono, a proportionally spaced version, and a Half Mono, all equipped with a new Bold weight. Supports Hebrew, Arabic, and Latin.
