A formal script sold by Deberny & Cie and later Deberny & Peignot, known as (Écritures) Calligraphiques. Acquired by Stephenson Blake and issued in England in 1912 as Society Script. [Millington 2002] Millington mentions that the larger sizes were known as Écritures Taille-Douce in France, but that’s a different (albeit related) design. Or maybe Society Script’s larger sizes were based on that other design?
