The Keystone type foundry had at least two weights (Lightface and Bold) for Condensed widths of their Caslon family. The Bold Condensed appeared about 1905, probably drawn by R.F. Burfeind. [Font Bureau]
The Bold was continued by ATF [1934 specimen] and also adopted for the Linotype, incl. Cyrillic and with a Bold Extra Condensed [1939 specimen].
