Viktoriya Grabowska’s Gamay family spans no less than six widths. For their recent rebrand, Living Stone indulged in the most spacious one: the primary font is Gamay Wide’s Medium weight.

It’s used for all larger text elements, including headlines and quotes, and also provided the basis for the wordmark. The extended sans with its diagonal terminals makes for a cool appearance. For running text, Gamay Wide is supported by a more economical sibling, Gamay Regular Light. The high-precision look is loosened by a dash of FF Market for claims.

Living Stone is a B2B marketing agency with a focus on healthcare, IT, and engineering, based in Gentbrugge, Belgium.

Gamay is available from Darden Studio. You can also sync it from Adobe, as static and variable fonts.

Te Papa Waka Rererangi o Whakatū – Nelson Airport

Gamay is the new brand typeface by Nelson Airport, New Zealand.

One of the first applications is Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, or Māori Language Week. 2025 marks the fiftieth anniversary of this initiative. Nelson Airport celebrates this milestone with a series of posts on social media platforms.

The campaign introduces visitors to topical words and phrases in Māori. The kupu o te rā (word of the day) is set in Gamay’s Expanded Light weight, while the English translation below uses the Regular Medium. The font family by Darden Studio offers a total of 108 styles across six widths and nine weights, and is also available in variable format.

Inside the airport building, travellers can engage in four wero (challenges) to spark kōrero (conversation) while waiting for their flight. We love this challenge to learn the language of New Zealand’s indigenous population, and are thrilled to see Gamay used for Māori.

Gamay by Darden Studio is the typeface used by Mijo.

Mijo is a mobile app that helps soccer players optimize their shooting technique by analyzing parameters like flight curve, precision, and speed. Pitched as “the soccer field revolution”, the German startup aims to make such data analysis available to anyone.

The Mijo logo is based on an Extrabold Italic style, used in all lowercase letters, featuring two of Gamay’s appriopriately round dots. Viktoriya Grabowska’s typeface family is also used for UI text throughout the app, in a range of weights and styles. Its clear-cut design makes for a nicely readable interface, while the italic’s slant gives the headlines momentum.

Eppelheim recently rebranded with Gamay.

The city in southwestern Germany revealed its new design in September 2025. The logo is set in caps from the Medium weight of Gamay’s Editorial width, which is slightly wider than the Regular. The wordmark is complemented by a symbol that marries the initial letter E with a heart shape.

Visitors of the municipal website are greeted by a typographic animation. It shows the name Eppelheim in two lines and adds a third one in a lighter weight from Gamay, engaging in various wordplays: Heimspiel (home game), Heimarbeit (homework), Heimweh (homesickness), etc.

Eppelheim’s social media channels also use Gamay in mixed case.

Gamay by Darden Studio is the typeface used in the new visual identity of Thunderbowl Architects.

The architectural practice in Aspen presents itself with a logo that features two weights of Gamay Narrow. It’s merely a line of text in all caps, and there are design pundits who frown upon logos that are just typed out, without further adjustments. But we think it works great here!

The subtle contrast in weight adds structure – without the need to separate the two words by a space or a line break. The logo is wide, but, thanks to the compact typeface, not overtly so. In fact, the proportions nicely echo the vastness of Colorado’s mountainous scenery. Tracking was opened up a bit, giving the wordmark an airiness that’s a good fit for the firm’s architectural projects. Fortuitously, Gamay’s W – a symmetrical letter distinguished by a pointed apex – falls right in the center.

The Narrow is the most space-saving width out of the six included in the typeface family designed by Viktoriya Grabowska. All-caps Gamay Narrow also serves for the titles and headlines on the website. Body copy is rendered in Alexandra Korolkova’s PT Sans Narrow.

Bolt homepage

Gamay serves as the brand typeface for Bolt and Plenty.

Bolt is a Belgian supplier of green and locally sourced energy. In 2025, the company launched their new cooperative, Plenty. On this occasion, Bolt commissioned design studio WeWantMore from Antwerp with a new visual identity that encompasses both enterprises.

The clear-cut sans by Darden Studio plays a center role in it: Gamay is often used in all caps from one of its bolder weights, for example in billboards and online campaigns. On the two websites, boltenergie.be and plenty.be, it features in various styles, from the Book Italic to the ExtraBold. Gamay makes for impactful headlines as well as for crisp body text, and looks good in both the French and Flemish language versions. It’s supported by italic styles from Dave Rowland’s Gelica.

Gamay is the typeface chosen for the identity of Inovacare.

The Norwegian healthcare company uses Darden Studio’s most recent release for all branded communication. The typography of the bilingual website is proof that Gamay performs great both for display and text. In larger sizes, its almost-vertically cut terminals make for a superb eyecatcher. When used small, Gamay’s sharply defined shapes ensure crisp, readable text.

The sans serif features in three of its weights: body copy is in the Book and headlines in the assertive SemiBold, while the main menu is presented in Gamay Medium. The Inovacare logo is based on all-caps Conglomerate by Typetanic Fonts.

Gamay was designed by Viktoriya Grabowska with art direction from Eben Sorkin. The family spans six widths with nine weights each, in upright and italic styles. It’s available from Darden Studio.

Gamay is the new branding typeface for Frankie & Benny’s.

The chain with restaurants across the United Kingdom underwent a major rebrand. The new identity takes the New York-Italian-themed family restaurant back to its original concept when it first launched in 1995, with a fresh menu and red and blue as the new brand colors.

In terms of typography, Frankie & Benny’s goes all in on Gamay. The new sans serif by Darden Studio serves across every aspect of the brand, from the website to advertising campaigns and printed menus, in various weights of the comprehensive family. Headlines often are shown in bold all-caps settings. In promotional graphics, such lines are made more dynamic by slight distortion, adding a sense of space and motion.

The latest incarnation of the TDC website uses Gamay.

Gamay is the most recent release by Darden Studio. The dashing sans comes in a family of six widths, all in weights from Thin to Black, in upright and italic. The easiest way to use this wide palette to full capacity is with the variable version. That’s exactly what KUDOS did. The studio responsible for the redesign employed the font’s axes for weight and width and dialed in those styles that are the best match for the respective text elements: headings are shown in caps from a bold expanded style, while body copy is spec’d in a lighter weight of regular proportions. On some pages, intro texts feature Gamay’s handsome italic.

We’re honored to see Gamay in use as the new visual voice of one of the design world’s most respected institutions.

Gamay was designed by Viktoriya Grabowska, a talented type designer based in Poland who also teaches at the University of Arts in Poznań. Vika has been a member of Darden Studio since 2017. In 2020, her addition to the Birra Flight, Birra Saison, was awarded a Certificate of Typographic Excellence by the Type Directors Club.

The Weekly Type header shows an animated type weight gradient hinting at Gamay’s range of styles.

Selecting the red dot brings up the menu, with items presented in expanded caps from Gamay Medium. On hover, the font weight increases.

The section about the TDC’s traveling exhibition presents dates and locations in contrasting weights.

Key figures from the lastest competition are brought to life by Gamay’s clear-cut numerals – here used in both tabular and proportional varieties.

Gamay is the typeface used for the identity of Signature Communities.

When the Canadian real estate developer rebranded in 2024, the designers opted for Gamay, the latest release by Darden Studio. Viktoriya Grabowska’s sans serif with the characteristically cut terminals comes in six widths, each with nine weights in upright and italic. Signature Communities embraces this rich typographic palette: the logotype combines two weights from Gamay Expanded, the second-widest width. For copy on the company’s website and social media, Gamay features in various styles from its Regular and Editorial widths. The latter is a tad wider and intended for use in paragraphs.

Gamay is the typeface chosen for the promotion of Betr.app, a digital platform that offers a blend of fantasy sports and microbetting.

The Gamay font family was designed by Viktoriya Grabowska, with art direction by Eben Sorkin, and released earlier this year. When we were putting Gamay through the hoops at Darden Studio, we had many potential applications and industries in mind. To be honest, sports bets was not among them, but here we are. Did the designers search for a gambling font and stumbled upon Gamay because its name starts with “gam”? We knew that font naming is crucial! In any case, Gamay does look slick in the graphics. With its sharply defined shapes and gestural details, it plays its part in building a fresh and facetious brand image.

Betr makes use of several of Gamay’s six widths, in various weights, and exclusively in all caps. The straightforward sans with the characteristic vertically cut terminals in letters like C G S serves in many of Betr’s social media posts. In the promotional images on the App Store, Gamay is used in the ExtraBold weight, with tightened spacing, and supported by Inter.
