Part of the Kyiv
Metro Fonts, a series of typefaces based on metro station signs
in the Ukrainian capital. Started in a workshop with students
(Olesia Bachyns’ka, Roman Baranovsky, Galya Dautova, Andriy
Holubokiy, Nazariy Kondratiuk, Dasha Lennhren, Mykyta Maltsev,
Matvii Masliukov, Oleksandr Piddubniy, Yevhen Spizhovyi) conducted
by Yevgen Anfalov and Oleś Gergun in summer 2023. Six typefaces were
finished and released by Kyiv
Type Foundry. The fonts are free of charge for Ukrainians.
Others are asked for a donation in support of Ukrainians in
need.
KTF Metro Xarkiv is based on the sign for
the
Kharkivs’ka
station (1994), which uses tile lettering by architect
Valeriy Gnevyshev, with a height of six units.
