The digital Haettenschweiler is an adaptation of Walter Haettenschweiler’s Schmalfette Grotesk (1954), or rather of Photoscript’s Haettenschweiler Extended. Like the latter, the digital Haettenschweiler is slightly wider and bolder than the original, and has a lowercase. Version 1.5 is credited to “Eraman, Ltd., and Type Solutions, Inc. © 1993. Microsoft Corporation.” In later versions, the language support was extended, incl. Cyrillic and Greek. Comes bundled with Office and other Microsoft products.
