Frank Bartuska designed several phototype
adaptations of Times
New Roman that were offered by Photo-Lettering. Among them all, this display-centric
family, introduced no later than 1965, is one of the most extensive
series, comprising at least five weights with italics, plus Open
and Shaded variants .

than Frank Bartuska who has made a long and painstaking study of
this distinguished letter. In general the metal type display sizes
of Times are not pleasing. But Frank Bartuska has brought elegance
