Hailing originally from Curacao, fashion designers practice Marc Martha is thoroughly inspired by their Caribbean and African heritage. A recent graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, founder Marc Martha Pengel reshapes traditional garments to encourage self-expression.

Studio Böreck developed a minimalistic but distinct identity for the brand that is used throughout all media. In addition to designing their website, they also created a webshop to promote their unique editions online.

Outward is scaled up for maximal size and sometimes vertically extended on desktop/mobile devices, resulting in a typographic pattern which creates sort of a landing page moment. Skanaus is used for smaller display sizes, reflecting on the expressive quality Martha's outfits perform, while Neue Haas brings shape to most of the content in a modest manner.

The website is coded by Panadda Manarata and Ilias El Makrini.

Artwork for the single “La contraseña del gmail” by MEMÉ, with the main text in Outward and the little details in Alliance No.1. The artist name logo uses Fat Sans Round. In the music video the same typefaces are used for the titles.

The seventh edition of the Online Gallery Magazine (The OG) sought to shine a light on artists and visionaries who intersect activism and creative work in new and provocative ways.

For each edition of the magazine, we take inspiration from the talented list of contributors. Our designs seek to amplify their work and personality, to encapsulate their characteristics through colour, layout and typography.

Time Shelter is the fourth publicaton by Bulgarian author and playwright Georgi Gospodinov. This translation by Angela Rodel is his first book to be published in the United States, by Liveright, an imprint of W.W. Norton & Company. From Goodreads:

In Time Shelter, an enigmatic flâneur named Gaustine opens a “clinic for the past” that offers a promising treatment for Alzheimer’s sufferers: each floor reproduces a decade in minute detail, transporting patients back in time. As Gaustine’s assistant, the unnamed narrator is tasked with collecting the flotsam and jetsam of the past, from 1960s furniture and 1940s shirt buttons to scents and even afternoon light. But as the rooms become more convincing, an increasing number of healthy people seek out the clinic as a “time shelter”—a development that results in an unexpected conundrum when the past begins to invade the present.

The tall and condensed capitals of Outward are paired with Optician Sans on the book cover, designed by Jason Arias.

Latest self-published book project of Nikolai Dobreff titled SOLO. It’s a selection of images he took and stories he wrote in South America some years ago. The book uses three different typefaces. One of them is Ambiant Sans Light by Laura Csocsán, the other Victor Serif by Kometa Typefaces, and the third one is Outward by Raoul Audouin (Velvetyne Typefaces).
