Living+ works to plant seeds of awareness about care, health and community in the hearts of younger generations. Its inaugural programme, Memories in Motion, reflects on how experiences of grief, resilience, love, shame and healing continue to shape and circulate through public health narratives on HIV/AIDS. It places care and memory at the centre of how we understand what public health means today.

Unfolding across Amsterdam through a curated month of performances, exhibitions, youth-led interventions, rituals and storytelling, Memories in Motion invites a new generation into a living archive of survival and solidarity, asking them to carry it forward with intention, care and urgency.

We designed the visual identity for Living+ and its inaugural season, Memories in Motion. Acknowledging that HIV/AIDS may not resonate immediately with many younger people today, we worked to reframe the conversation: moving from isolated or clinical topics to exploring deep connections in care, justice, visibility, intimacy, inequality and shared responsibility.

Beauty lies in the details – this was the case in the rebranding of an anti-aging clinic Dr Frankel's run by renowned specialists Dr Agnes Frankel and Dr Adam Szuścik. With a clear vision of the French-inspired aesthetic, we created a brand identity reflecting elegance and professionalism backed up by science. For the logotype we chose a caps-only headline typeface, LL Numberplate France, based on the official car registration plates of France – playing with the connotations of “unisex French charm”. The signet, being a turned monogram, can also be understood as “a key to beauty”. In addition, we created and supervised the production of a range of supplements enhancing balance and vitality.

Brand identity and website for Raentrading, a global proprietary trading firm specializing in discretionary and systematic financial strategies. Built around a minimalist palette, monospaced typography, and subtle micro-animations that reflect precision, structure, and data-driven thinking, avoiding generic financial visuals in favor of a more technical, intentional and innovative approach.

This unique book by Benjamin Rubloff features a stunning body of paintings, each inspired by fragmentary photographs of graffiti, with each piece named after the location where the photo was taken. A short text by the artist accompanies each painting, providing insight into his personal thoughts and experiences. The book concludes with a series of photographs, each labeled with GPS coordinates, marking the location of the original graffiti. A beautiful essay by Duncan Ballantyne-Way provides further context and reflection. Published by Verlag Kettler.

Toronto Tech Week is a decentralized collection of events celebrating of the technologists of Toronto. Hosted by Daybreak Studio, it took place in May 2024. The typography uses Volksans, supported by DM Mono.

​Dripping is an annual music and arts festival held in Sparta, New Jersey, that celebrates a diverse array of live performances and DJ sets, encompassing genres from experimental electronic to soulful compositions. Beyond music, Dripping fosters community engagement through workshops, art installations, and communal activities, emphasizing inclusivity and environmental respect. In 2025, Dripping will take place over three nights. Performances will take place indoors and outside. The site is a beautiful 200 acres of forest, wooded paths, and a large private lake.

For the 2025 poster lineup, designed by M.C. Madrigal, they used Ceraph, distributed by Sharp Type, and the artist names were set in full caps, using all the discretionary ligatures Emma Piercy designed for this typeface. They also chose to activate the stylistic set of the swash capitals on the R and the N. The name DRIPPING uses the stylistic No. 2 of the font: the diamond capital I. Additional info is set in the two brand typefaces of Dripping: DM Mono by Colophon, and Basel Grotesk by Chi-Long Trieu.

The Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, have joined forces with the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), the ALBA Synchrotron, the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE). Together they have created an innovative platform where internationally renowned scientists and artists collaborate to imagine how science will shape the world in the coming decades: Ciència Radical.

The visual identity breaks with the traditional communication codes of research institutions, experimenting with moving typography and looking for abstract visual codes that reflect the basic principles of scientific research: flexibility, transformation and creativity.

The creative campaign aims to make science more accessible and appealing to all audiences through messages and questions that invite the public to imagine the transformative impact of future scientific breakthroughs on humanity.

The visual identity was designed using the Bold style of Melange Grotesk plus DM Mono.

The Anom logo features a customized O and M. Secondary fonts used in the identity – from the package labels to a barista manual and the website – are DM Mono by Colophon and Dker Felt Pen by Benoît Champy.

Your Majesty is an Amsterdam-based strategy-led design and technology agency that powers brands and digital products for fashion and technology pioneers. The website uses IvyPresto for headlines and quotes, Messina Sans and DM Mono for secondary texts.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Consider the Wldflwrs is a fine jeweler specialized in designing and hand-crafting engagement rings or custom pieces. They also perform jewelry restoration and repair.

For their communication and website, the company chose to use Ceraph, designed by Emma Piercy and soon to be released by Sharp Type. It is paired it with Sequel Sans for body text; the monospaced typeface used for buttons and links is DM Mono. The logo combines roman caps and italics from ITC Novarese.

Emma Piercy began Ceraph in 2018 as an experiment, a sketched word featuring whiplash forms and flared serifs. “It slowly evolved into a more ambitious and refined project. I wanted the typeface to embody grace and strength, and this aim was the north star throughout its development. This is my first serious undertaking of typeface design, and it took a year on-and-off to settle on the concept.” This typeface comes with several unexpected ligatures for the uppercase, such as the C and the O inside, the H and E sharing a stem, etc. By setting their headlines in capitals, Consider the Wldflwrs play with the magical features of this typeface.

The logo in ITC Novarese was introduced together with the new typefaces as part of the 2023 redesign.

Gaya Italic is used together with DM Mono and Serial A for the portfolio website of NYC-based designer Athena Tian:

The name of Athena’s portfolio – yuén yě, in Chinese, means an immense grassland without any exploitation. In the world of design, Athena loves to be inspired by all eclectic moments in life, from the typographic signage on old buildings to the title sequence in new movies. She loves to run wildly in her boundless creativity.

Visual identity for the All Star 2024 campaign launched by the Utah Jazz NBA team. The visual communication designed by the team’s marketing office chose to focus on nostalgia as a strategy to target end users. In line with that choice, they created graphic layouts that refer to collectible cards from the second half of the twentieth century.

In doing so, they chose Baustraße by Fantasia Type (available on Future Fonts) and DM Mono by Colophon Foundry. These typefaces are supported by the team’s corporate typeface, which is a customized version of Plaak by 205TF, roughly equivalent to the 44B-Terme-BoldB style.

The Utah Jazz Marketing team includes Stockton Bermingham (graphic designer), Eva Gabrielsen (motion graphic), Joon Lee (video director), Chris George (creative director), and Matt Kricheli (editor).

Smith & Diction created the identity for Ginger Rudolph, a curator, mentor, writer, and advisor from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The logotype is designed using the Bourbon St typeface from Typeverything. Additional fonts used for the business card and the website are DM Sans and DM Mono from Colophon, Archivo from Omnibus-Type, and Richard Lipton’s Tangier.

TT Norms Pro and DM Mono are new branding fonts of Shieldex.

Shieldex is the leading manufacturer of metallized textiles with a production site in Bremen, Germany.

Berlin-based Monospace Design comments:

Clarity and order in written communication reflect the scientific precision that drive the innovation process at Shieldex. Two fonts are used in the design system. Headlines and texts are set in the geometric sans-serif TT Norms Pro. Small texts and supplementary information is set in DM Mono to complete the scientific look of the design system.

Third Ear Studio is a podcast producing company based in Denmark but operating in Sweden too. On their website, they showcase their activities and dozen of podcasts.

This website used Reymund Schröder’s NaN Hyena Noon in its blackest weight for all titles, as well as for its logo, in a customized version with a Th ligature. Lighter weights of Hyena are used for sub-headers and bigger texts while the smaller sizes and UI elements are supported by Colophon's DM Sans and DM Mono.

Third Ear Studio makes a distinctive use of Hyena stacked diacritics, with its accented letters keeping the same height as the unaccented ones and allowing for very tight line-spacing.

Design of the catalog for the exhibition of Josef Albers. Colors in Play at Ludorff Gallery in Düsseldorf.

The exhibition showed a top-class selection of works by the German-American artist Josef Albers including the series Homage to the Square and Variant. The book design is inspired by Albers’ conceptual works Variants and Glenn Gould’s Goldberg Variations by Bach.

The typographic “touch” from Munken Sans, Cormorant and DM Mono Light harmoniously accompany the wide color spectrum of the works of Josef Albers.

With a network of more than 70 satellites and continually growing, SkyFi is on a mission to democratize access to satellite imagery so that businesses can solve their toughest problems and individuals can explore their boundless curiosity. By creating a consumer marketplace, SkyFi is the one-stop-shop for earth observation, with a simple and easy-to-use process that allows you to order archived images or task satellites all from the palm of your hand.

From a type perspective, we found some moments to be large and bold, referring to the use of HK Grotesk, including key messaging and headings. This font works very well at large sizes and we wanted to find some confident and surprising moments, aesthetically matching DM Mono’s more pragmatic construction. We really enjoyed the contrast of both fonts but also it was important to infuse a somewhat ‘technical’ look and feel. When we are showing imagery next to some associated technical information we’d use DM Mono, but for longer descriptions, we would use HK Grotesk because it’s more readable.

Forking good food for forking good people!

A confident brand identity for Fork Catering that plays with bright colour and simple, bold type. Steinbeck acts as the primary brand typeface, being used for its quirky, irregular forms. DM Sans and DM Mono play supporting roles.

The Great Lakes are in danger of catastrophic impact from an invasive fish generically referred to as ‘Asian carp’. Several stopgap measures have been implemented, but the fish still threaten the Great Lakes.

Tetra Tech (commissioned by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Southern Illinois University) hired Span to reposition the fish for human consumption. Our solution was to rename the fish Copi (derived from copious), rendered with a friendly, recognizable logotype and distinct identity system. The Copi rebrand reintroduces these fish to the public as a healthy, delicious, and responsible seafood option that also helps solve an environmental crisis.

Simple and fun, the Copi logo contains a not-so-secret message. The forward-facing fish is created using the negative space within the c and filling the space of the omitted o, horizontally aligned within the geometric letterforms inspired by Futura Black. The stencil form balances hard-working, utilitarian aesthetics with a playful feeling through its assembly of simple semi-circles, triangles, and rectangles. The heaviness of the logo matches the physical qualities of the fish that can weigh over 100 pounds.

The Copi brand uses three supportive typefaces. The bookish Gelasio is the typeface the identity system uses to tell the fish’s story; DM Sans, a highly geometric sans serif that the identity uses for more direct and advocacy related messages; and DM Mono is used to convey facts, data, and source information.

All the typefaces used in the Copi visual identity are open source, making beautiful typography free and accessible to any person or organisation (governmental departments, grocery markets, restaurants) connected to the project.

Manchester-based design agency Ensemble created a new identity for the global innovation consultancy Metta.

To quote from The Brand Identity,

Ensemble opted for Colophon Foundry’s DM Sans and DM Mono as the typographic workhorses, as well as Nikolas Type’s Grand Slang for the primary wordmark and Pizza Typefaces’ Orelo to inject an opulence and further hint at the brand’s fashion influences. “All used together they highlight the varying tones that the brand takes,” Ensemble conclude, culminating in a confident and cultivated identity that hits the heights of Metta’s own clientele.
