Released by ITC in 1975, a revision and expansion of a custom typeface for Metrecal, commissioned by Helmet Krone of Doyle, Dane, Bernbach. Earlier versions (called Bauhaus Alpha and Bauhaus Geometric) were available from Photo-Lettering as far back as 1970. ITC Bauhaus was announced in six styles (five weights and one Outline derived from the Heavy) in U&lc Vol. 2 No. 3, Sep. 1975. Originally with alternates for ‘ersxyæœMNSX’.
