Issued sometime after 1955 [Filmotype 1955] and probably also after c.1958 [Filmotype c.1958], but before 1964. First in Filmotype’s series of flared sans-serifs with straight-sided rounds. Later shown together with the bolder Memphis and Moraine and the wider Miami, Niagra, and Malta [Filmomaster c.1974]. Copied by VGC as G-57, with alternates for ‘afkrtyGKR’. [VGC 1969]
Photo-Lettering’s Flaxa (issued between 1960 and 1965) appears to be identical. It’s unclear which came first. Flaxa was later intergrated into the Microflair family as Microflair Casual. [PLINC One Liner 1971]
