First cast in two weights by Stempel in 1938, after designs by Hiero Rhode. The regular weight has alternate decorated caps (Zierbuchstaben). Small sizes adapted for the Linotype.

Gerhard Helzel’s digitization (1999–2001) spans both weights in two sizes (10pt and 20pt, latter used for the sample) and has the decorated caps as Humboldt-Initialen. DS-Humboldt-Fraktur (Delbanco) has two sizes, but no Bold. Dieter Steffmann’s version spans both weights and the decorated caps (Zier) plus swash initials (Initialen), but has rough (autotraced?) outlines. Its Bold was revised by Peter Wiegel.
