Created by Austrian designer Othmar Motter of Vorarlberger Grafik and distributed by Berthold Fototypes (phototype, announced in the E1 catalog for 1974) and Letraset (dry-transfer, before 1977). Alternates for ‘H’ and ‘Q’.
Inofficial digitizations include OPTI Manfred (Castcraft, 1990–1991), Motter Tektura by Nikita Vsesvetsky (SoftUnion, 1992, now ParaType; with added Cyrillics), and another one (anonymous, 1997) that is lighter in weight (and of poor quality). Motter Fonts has announced an authorized digital version made with the help of Jan Kammann, but as of 2020 it is not yet released.
