Ben. Franklin types were originated by Keystone Type Foundry in 1899 (regular and Open), with Condensed added in 1904. The Auxiliaries (italic logotypes for ‘Dr.’, ‘To’, ‘The’, ‘the’ and ‘of’ and ornaments) were sold separately. [McGrew 1993] Shown with alternates for ‘acs’.
