A Hebrew typeface released by Arta in Israel and Letraset for the international market under the generic name Grotesque. A condensed style is shown in Letraset Limited ’64 October Extensions. A bold style was added later. Named Grotesque 7 (condensed, shown) and Grotesque 9 (bold, also available in an outlined variant). [1988 Arta/Letraset Reference Book] For Grotesque 9 the finishing strokes on the letters Alef, Ayin and Tsade of the original font were omitted, and the form of the letter Qof is completely different.
