Born Dec 25, 1831 in Bury St. Edmunds/Suffolk, died 1902 in Edmonton/London. Apprenticed as printer and bookbinder. Worked at Stephenson Blake from 1863. By 1896, had designed many influential ornament types, including Ribbon, Floral, Fillets, and Spray [Inland Printer, Aug 1896]. His given name is also spelled Eleisha by some sources. It’s Elisha in several census records and the obituaries.
