The Art Of Metal: Five Decades Of Heavy Metal Album Covers, Posters, T-Shirts And More is a book showcasing the finest examples of metal posters, cover and artwork. It was edited by Malcolm Dome and Martin Popoff with a foreword by Lemmy and published in 2013 by Omnibus Press in the UK and by Voyageur Press in the United States. Paul Palmer-Edwards of the award winning Grade Design in London provided the design of the book, including the cover illustration.

The book covers five decades of work and ten genres of metal displaying the diversity and similarity in design between the genres. Each chapter showcases a different display blackletter typeface.
