Glinters, a company that is part of the Aegis Human Consulting Group, contacted us to study a new strategic repositioning and to rethink their brand image.

Their main goal is to help companies attract talent with an innovative methodology that aims to find the right match between the company and the candidate’s values.

Following this funding aspect of their work, the monogram is a stylization of the G incorporating a spark, chosen as an element capable of telling the company’s innovative method. A method that simply works, as if by magic. The spark also synthesizes the candidates’ talent, Glinters’ intuition and the beginning of an effective relationship.

The look and feel, simply, follows this intuition, accompanying the elements of the layout with spontaneity and without formalism.

We encapsulated the definition of Glinters’ identity in a manifesto, outlining its founding values and principles that differentiate it from similar companies.

Thanks to a confident, irreverent and ironic tone of voice – but without excesses – it was possible for it to stand out in an industry characterized by rigor and formal tones. A voice that is recognizable, sincere, direct, and consistent with the people and values of Glinters.

The manifesto will be a shared reference for the tone of the voice as well as an outline for the posts that will be published on the social channels prepared for the launch.

They track prescription drug prices in the United States and provide free drug coupons for discounts on medications. GoodRx checks more than 75,000 pharmacies in the United States.

In a rebrand, Gretel used F37 Foundry’s fonts F37 Moon and F37 Bolton to create their new logo and typography, giving a versatile and contemporary look complimenting the brand’s pharmaceutical image. On their portfolio site, Gretel writes:

The goal of the identity was to reflect GoodRx’s position at the epicenter of better health. With a direct tone of voice and a simplified information hierarchy on the labels, the GoodRx brand humanizes the healthcare process to make the experience straightforward and painless.

The slab serif used for the small text here is Colophon’s Goodall.

Brand identity and launch for Pick Meal Up, an app that aimed to “revolutionise the take-away sector”. We created an expressive and contemporary symbol to tell the Pick Meal Up story, along with the powerful, impactful Sharp Grotesk.

The cherry on top is a colour palette that is miles apart from the app’s competitors: an original combination that reflects both the pleasure of eating and today’s dynamic society.

Buscoresi is a search engine for university residences in Spain made by former residents. It's a place to find a home for students.

Kinoto Studio’s rebranding proposal was based on speaking to two audiences at the same time so it had to be fun and playful for the students looking for their first home but also professional for their parents that are the decision-makers.

The branding has two typefaces, Galaxie Polaris (Constellation) and New Kansas (Newlyn) that live together in an organic way.

The new look is currently in the process of being implemented. Some of it can already be seen on Buscoresi’s Instagram account.

The founders of Gratefuel share their sense of responsibility to promote a better understanding of what quality food entails and how great it can make us feel by opening this new fun coffee spot in Fort Lauderdale, with yoga classes in the backyard, life music sessions and lots of healthy & plant based options to fuel you up without compromising any of the fun and flavor in the process.

The new identity was designed inspired by the warm tropical environment of South Florida and the welcoming color palette from the vibrant and healthy menu options. The use of TT Trailers balances freshness with heavy but friendly type details across the brand supported by the easy but fun to read, sans-serif Pangram Sans creating a more relatable and easy to connect visuals to invite in people who doesn’t necessarily identifies themselves as “healthy” nor connects with that traditional aesthetic, to join them into a new kind of healthy and grateful lifestyle and give a new positive, tasteful and fun meaning to the word.

TWK Everett in use for the new identity of Mubien, designed by Neara. From The Brand Identity:

Australian infrastructure brand Neara have called upon Santander and California-based design agency Mubien to craft them an ambitious new identity – marking their transition from the previous name, Power Lines Pro, and signifying their expansion into further utility sectors.

Led by a uniquely fluid grid system of figure and form, Mubien optimised negative space to generate consistent, yet equally dynamic, logomarks for each division of Neara’s structure – creating up to 256 individual icons. This concept is supported by the prominent use of TWK Everett as the identity’s hero typeface. “We choose Everett because it’s a contemporary and versatile grotesque typeface that features an organic drawing and a particular digital flavour,” Designer Patricia Orden tells us. “Strong typographic details add high tension while keeping a reading comfort,” she adds, “finding the right balance between a font that is graphic yet fluid,” using the typeface across the brand, including the wordmark, albeit with some modifications.

“We decided to use the initials in lowercase, in this way the wordmark acquires balance and a more friendly and humanistic tone,” Orden explains, discussing the alterations present in the wordmark. “The space between characters was reduced, providing more unity to the shape,” she notes, also modifying the ‘r’ to greater reference the Greek Gamma letterform, and in turn the birthplace of Neara’s founder.

With e-mobility on the rise like never before, electric charging brand Clever reached out to e-Types to help them reshape their entire brand.

Using No5 as a primary typeface and inspired by their optimistic brand personality, Clever’s new identity reflects a brand with a positive outlook on the future, communicating one clear message aligned across design, communication, image style and executions.

Wanting to bring some of the raw beauty and unspoilt flavours of the Nordic kitchen to London, haute cuisine restaurant Ekte was looking for a brand expression that could reflect their culinary source of inspiration; the natural elements of the north.

Drawing on the extraordinary contrasts so characteristic to the northern countries, e-Types created a brand identity that carries the Nordic flavour from dish to design. A play between the light and the dark, mild and harsh, the new brand identity for Ekte highlights the rough yet elegant essence of the North. Carried out over both print, web, and core brand materials, the new brand identity for Ekte is typed in Noir No1 by Playtype.

Empathy is a revolutionary new product and company seeking to fundamentally change the way we deal with loss. Focused on the American market, Empathy’s digital loss companion addresses both the emotional and practical sides of loss, offering help, guidance and support on the complicated journey ahead.

e-Types were a part of building the Empathy brand from the ground up, helping define the brand strategy and foundation, as well as creating the rich brand identity which included a custom typeface named Empathy. The identity was then further developed into app design, as well as a fully fledged website. The key to the Empathy brand identity was discovering a way to communicate the company’s brand promise of being ‘With You’. We wanted to find a strong idea that was not overly emotional, yet felt subtle and supportive. We found this through the ‘full stop’ idea, which both appeared in the logo, communication and the custom Empathy typeface that we made in collaboration with Playtype. The full stop represents the closure that Empathy hopes to help their customers reach, as well as illustrating the way the company is always with you, in your phone, in your hand – just a click or a call away.

On the website, Empathy is paired with Inter.

+Halle is a Danish furniture design company, focused on spatial solutions for the corporate and industrial market. To emphasize and communicate their specialized knowledge, approach and views, +Halle decided to create a magazine that could be published in print.

In collaboration with +Halle and Kristoffer Dahy Ernst, we designed a magazine concept and layout that could bring the +Halle universe to life, as well as creating a platform where others within the industry could voice their views on the future of workspaces.

The layout principals focused on a minimalistic design system, that clearly differentiated between the essays and interviews – allowing the reader to easily navigate between the two. The publication has been a huge success, and truly supports the company’s ethos and collaboration with other designers and thought leaders throughout the industry.

Heartland is one of Canada’s largest power centres, bringing together retail shops and specialty services in one convenient location. With over 190 storefronts occupying 2 million square feet of real estate, Heartland is the ultimate destination to shop, eat, and work. Located in Mississauga, the district attracts countless visitors per day due to its proximity to nearby residential, industrial, and office buildings.

Vanderbrand was approached by Orlando Corporation to deliver a rebrand for Heartland that would revitalize one of the most iconic districts in the city. The repositioning of Heartland as a landmark destination acts as a catalyst for growth by creating opportunities for new tenants and visitors alike.

Retaining the Heartland name as well as its brand equity, the new wordmark sits forward and is set in a bold sans serif typeface, Roobert, which grounds the mark horizontally. The wordmark is paired with an icon which features abstracted shapes based on a lowercase h. The icon represents the storefronts and architectural motifs found in Heartland, as the precinct is well known for being an open concept neighbourhood with high-profile street-front retail locations. The secondary typeface is Hellix. Both typefaces were designed by Martin Vácha and are available from his Displaay Type Foundry.

Everett by Nolan Paparelli is used throughout the new brand identity of Abnormal designed by brand strategy and design studio A LINE. Their logo, based on Everett features an alternate A without horizontal bar, a bracketed lowercase r without curves and a single-storey a. From A LINE’s portfolio website:

A LINE worked closely with the Abnormal leadership team to develop a brand strategy, tone of voice, and visual identity that reflected its position as an unconventional technology company taking an uncommonly precise approach to solving the world’s biggest cyber security challenges.

To create a sense of precision we built the entire identity system on a grid. Designed to be used across imagery, illustrations, applications, animations, and iconography, the grid also represents the AI inherent in Abnormal’s technology – specifically how it provides a depth of insight into people’s behavior that would be impossible for an individual to do on their own.

Founded on the concept of sharing, the Addresses aims for enriching, memorable experiences, combining elements of travel, hospitality, cuisine, art and culture. The Addresses wants to share their love for Portugal with like-minded friends and guests, letting you swap your busy schedule for silence, nature and inspiration while staying in their beautiful secluded getaways.

The triangular, wedge-shaped serifs of the font Nib, used for the logo, capture and express the rich heritage the Addresses is embedding in all its properties. The slightly altered and straightened letter A connects with the subsequent ascenders, emphasising its verticality.

Lacrima, a slab serif typeface, is used to construct the Addresses’ graphic language. Lacrima Senza and Lacrima Serif are used in juxtaposition, giving the branding a laid-back atmosphere with its swash elements and characteristic ink-drop endings.

Brand identity for Rise, a digital wealth management company.

Tomato Grotesk was chosen by design studio Dá for the visual identity of Rise. This typeface has the appeal of the traditional corporate grotesque but also has the ultra-contemporary details like its geometric qualities and the flat bases in the j and t. The font is applied on the website, the application, and marketing materials for display purposes.

Rise gives individuals and corporate clients a highly scrutinized and carefully selected portfolio of dollar investments across multiple asset classes that protect and grow wealth at all times.

Forest Gum is a plant-based chewing gum with a chicle base without sugar, artificial flavours and synthetic additives. The identity and packaging design was developed by Jens Nilsson in 2019, and announced in early 2020. It mixes various weights and widths of Tusker Grotesk (Lewis McGuffie Type). Athletics (Family Type) is used for accompanying text.

Bidmii is a revolutionary all-in-one platform, designed to simplify the process of bidding and paying for home improvement jobs, making life easier for homeowners, contractors, and realtors.

A new narrative had to be established for the home improvement industry. Bidmii introduces simple, automated project creation with reliable and trusted contractors that get the job done.

Vanderbrand was approached by Bidmii to reposition and redefine their brand and develop a strategy that would support the growth of the platform and bring together a community of people interested in a better home improvement experience.

Set confidently in Value Serif – a contemporary, robust slab serif font – the new brand identity for Bidmii is straightforward, approachable, and legible. Within the logo sits “The Three i’s”. These not only represent Bidmii’s core values – integrity, inspiration, and innovation – but serve as the building blocks for the “Build Your Ask” tagging system. Utilizing the tittles of the lowercase i within the logo, these forms become the framework for tags, that bring systematic efficiency to the platform.

Glossarie is a colourful web experience for Elizabeth Befus, former editor in chief at Apple — writer about all things tech. Her obsession with colours, words, numbers and symbols as well as her vibrant personality were used as inspiration for this playful one-pager.

We have selected Canela Text for its friendly, warm appearance with quiet confidence. For body copy, the semi-rounded details of Lato add a feeling of warmth, while the strong structure provides stability and seriousness. Male and female, serious but friendly.
