ToY and Trio Grotesk in use for the Christmas campaign 2019 of Ajuntament de Barcelona (Barcelona city council):

This year’s Christmas campaign offers a modern take on the greetings cards which used to be sent by different professionals in the city and were distributed among people for the festive season. The professions now take on magical properties, with fantasy characters symbolising the traditions, values and magic of Christmas.

The characters include the Tió trainer, the welcomer, the food taster, the grape peeler, the gift wrapper, the non-sexist toy inventor and the Three Kings. This clutch of seasonal characters are the work of the illustrator Olga Capdevila, with the collaboration of the designer Pol Solsona, and is based on the poetry, fables, tales and stories of the writer Irene Solà.

As Pol Solsona Studio explain:

We seized the opportunity to have the whole city as our playground, so we created a multi-format narrative project so the citizens would slowly discover piece by piece, and by that way, they would come across 10 fictional magic Xmas characters we created through collectable greeting cards, poems, merchandising, outdoor campaign, activities and city shows. "Welcome Magic" is a tribute to traditions, to the unknown, to invisible professions, collectables and literature... Revealing some mysteries, in order to generate new ones.
Despite that children are the main target, the campaign winks the older generations by remembering Christmas cards with reinterpretations of old characters like the "night watchman".

Poster for the 2019 Annual Concert of the Hello! SEM Orchestra — a children’s youth orchestra composed of children with developmental disabilities. Designed by Everyday Practice, using Brutal by Benoît Bodhuin and Founders Grotesk by Kris Sowersby. The font used for the Korean text is unidentified.

We visualized the title ‘HELLO SEM’ with a graphical motif of the morphological features and symbols of the various instruments used in orchestra play. We tried to build a lively image of the Developmentally Disabled Children’s Orchestra with friendly graphics and bright colors.

Body in Water is a collaboration between producer Oscar Morgan and choreographer / movement artist Magnus Westwell. Their show looks at the relationship between strains of contemporary performance art and deconstructed electronic music.

Zorn is used for the graphics, made by Oscar Morgan / portrait_xyz for the performance of the piece during ADE festival 2019.

The visual communication design for the graduation show 2017 of Sint-Lucas School of Art (LUCA) was designed by Jan & Randoald, displaying the Langulaire typeface by Loris Pernoux.

It is supported by Luca, which is LUCA’s custom typeface, designed by alumnus Dries Wiewauters.

Sign for a beer shop in Stockholm featuring hand painted letters. The identity was designed by Erik Iggmark for Nordisk Dryck. Kumla is also used on the Folkölsbutiken website and on price labels, cardboard carriers, bottle caps, paper bags, business cards, brochures and gift vouchers, see Erik’s portfolio website.

TakeTakeTake is a small publishing house based in Prague, Czech Republic. Under its name is the production of original books, silkscreen posters and illustrations. They focus on Czech book covers from the 1950s to the 1980s, clear typography, visually contrasting and strong illustration, high quality fonts, print, paper and book binding almost on the edge of bibliophile branch.

The cover typography of the first three issues (Prázdná židle by Richard Weiner, Obraz pekla by Rjúnosuke Akutagawa, Plášť by Nikolaj Vasiljevič Gogol) combines Tabac Glam (2016) with Tabac Sans.

The book interior is set in Tabac.

The cover design for Neviditelný by Jaroslava Havlíčka features a single glyph from BC Steiner Headline. Illustrations by Maria Makeeva.

Chapter titles are set in BC Steiner, too.

Velebnost, melancholie, hrůza by Karel Klostermann uses BC Prkno on the cover, the back cover as well as for headlines. Illustrations by Jindřich Janíček.

Krass is for the defiant and the curious. At at increased page range of 142, encased in silver metallic stock with black pigment foiled text, the bold cover represents the intrepid content within. For the third time running, Simon Pearce of Adelaide agency Frame Creative designed the layout, as well as an exclusive font for the issue, aptly named Sinner (Frame Type) — a brutal, neoclassic typeface referencing historic Germanic, blackletter letter-forms, constructed from a strict grid base and system of shapes, the geometric structure is modern and bold in character.

Issue 3 features Abdul Abdullah, Helen Razer, Ishmael Butler, Julian Klincewicz, Maryam Namazie, Sampa the Great, Sanam Sindhi, Saul Williams, Senator Scott Ludlam, Siri Hustvedt, Stanislava Pinchuk (Miso). Plus contributions by Phoebe Collings-James (NYC), Raquel Nave, James Hartley, Moonassi, Ben McGee, Emily Wake and Shane Levene.
