Stranger is a project in which Jonatan Leandoer Håstad AKA Yung Lean aims to express his feelings as much as he can. Jonatan made a great short film advertising his new album, directed by Suzie and Leo. You can really feel his emotions on this record, especially in the track “Metallic Intuition”, about which Lean said:

It’s kind of a stand-out track […] like natural progress from Warlord, being a very gothic and dark album, and this coming out as a bit lighter, but then Metallic Intuition is still being kind of a shapeshifter. […] I was just trying to figure out my place and everything, and I didn't want to be one or two-hit wonder. I really wanted to make albums that had a different aesthetic in every album and had a different sound, and you could hear that “Oh, this is Warlord, this is Unknown Memory, this is Stranger”.

The fonts used on the Stranger website as well as in the film are several weights of Druk Wide. The fonts really go well together with the bloody aesthetic, and the logo with the type weight gradient does a great job as graphical representation of the album title.

QK stands for Qreative Kontent. This advertising agency, founded by Eric Buisson, is a brand content creator and works mainly in the luxury field.

Concept / This conceptual identity project consists of a postcard set and poster series for underground folk artist Michael Hurley, promoted by Folk Yeah.

Background / Michael Hurley has had a cult following in the folk community since he started performing in 1964. His music is an eclectic, witty, and often bizarre twist on traditional folk. For this postcard set, I used an unpolished aesthetic, with broad color swashes and hand-drawn illustrations to reflect his quirky character.

Rosie Lee were brought in by Nike to create the visual identity and design the space for the Sneakerball event held in Madrid at the World Basketball Festival. The aim of the experience was to celebrate Nike’s 42 years of basketball sneaker culture.

The first task was to create the visual identity, for which we represented shattered backboards with typography, which flowed through into a visual identity for the event.

For the overall experience, we designed a street-court inspired display cases to hold a raft of game-changing basketball sneakers, featuring selfie spaces to encourage party-goers to share their experience. Our concrete sculpture fusing together iconic basketball sneakers became the most posted image from the whole festival.

“Commissioned as part of Offset's ‘Celebrating The City’ campaign, we were asked to create something for South William Street which has been the studio's neighbourhood since the start.

We worked with 10 creative people to write and illustrate a series of articles of imagined futures and creative interpretations for South William street from a number of different angles. The results were presented in a 2 colour, 8 page broadsheet which was handed out on a single day from make-shift vendor booths. And of course there was a website, because all newspapers need a website of they want to stay relevant.” — The 100 Archive

Branding for an exclusive shopping street, Römerstraße in Bregenz, the capital of the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg, using a combination of Euclid Flex (with a custom macron-like umlaut) and Sang Bleu. See more images from the project on g-r-e-a-t.com.

The concept started in 2013 as a men’s clothing boutique based in El Paso, Tx. It has quietly and slowly grown into a small multi-disciplinary company traversing fashion, design, music, and photography. The colors, sounds, and textures elicit the sophistication of the past in a contemporary urban desert landscape.
 

Glasgow-based graphic design studio Haiwyre is using Cera Stencil for their logo and headlines and complementary Cera for anything else on their website.
