Commercial Classics

Commercial Type’s label for revivals of historic typefaces, launched in July 2019. Commercial Classics supersedes St Bride Type Foundry, an earlier project initiated in 2011. The first batch of releases focuses on faces that originated in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in the British Isles. Initially presented on a dedicated website, typefaces published under the Commercial Classics label were integrated into the general Commercial Type website in fall 2023.
