Housing company GGW (in full: Gelsenkirchener Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbaugesellschaft) responds to current political developments. In its company report 016, GGW aimed to communicate that besides its core business of housing management and the construction of new housing, it supports the city as a municipal housing company in many challenging issues such as housing for refugees or the creation of kindergarten facilities.

The report was designed by Betty und Betty, using ABC Favorit and ABC Favorit Mono. On the cover and back cover, large type is used for setting “Aufmachen / Weitermachen” (“Open up / continue”).

Crafting IT is a subsidiary of IT consultancy Bridging IT and is responsible for service, support and further development of IT systems. With a clear employer communication, the attractiveness of Magdeburg as a location should be credibly communicated and the profile towards the surrounding competition should be increased.

We analysed the status quo and, on the basis of a comprehensive story, Crafting IT now focuses on the individual advantages of work organisation at Crafting IT over existing and new employees.

Scale is a project by energy supply company EnBW, carrying out a digital transformation process. “Scale” is a scalable, unified processing platform for all non-commodity products. Based on modern IT-architecture, it gradually integrates all previous isolated solutions from initial contact to billing into a continuous process.

We provided a face for this digital process, using NB International. With the help of a clear identity and an overarching story, the transformation process is supported and facilitates the necessary adaptation process for employees.

Bailas Contemporary Coiffure was founded by Düsseldorf-based hairdresser Apostolos Bailas and stands for exclusive hairdressing art. The core of the brand concept is the close connection between the master hairdresser and his guest as well as a highly individualised service – with exactly one styling chair. From the welcome to the farewell, Apostolos Bailas is the only contact for its guests.

We accompanied Apostolos Bailas since his idea, strategically advised him on business modeling and have been responsible for the design of all communication.

BST architects create spaces in the fields of industry, commerce, education, culture and leisure. Above all, they use the diversity of different perspectives to harmonize the needs of the client, the wishes of the users and their own architectural standards.

We have clearly defined the identity that has grown over the years and visualised it with the help of a tangible brand story in a new design concept.

BST works between 2D (design, draft) and 3D (finished building). On the way to the finished building, BST always incorporates several perspectives into the project – the needs of the users, the requirements of the client and the architects’ own demands. Isometry combines 2D and 3D as a graphic form of representation and, in a simplified form, forms the framework for the design concept. Within this framework, among other things, isometric letters have been created, which are repeatedly rearranged depending on the content and medium and thus symbolise the different perspectives.

The various aspects of the story are reflected not only in the key visual, but in the entire corporate design. The individual letters – based on Maison Neue, which is used throughout the identity – can be displayed differently as key visuals on each means of communication and thus frame the respective content. In addition, the underlying grid determines the design or is even integrated as a design element in individual communication tools. To illustrate the different perspectives, entire text blocks with different reading and viewing directions are arranged on particular communication media. The theme is also carried on the business cards via the photos of the individual actors.

Within a larger process, Allbau AG, the municipal housing company of the City of Essen, compared itself with other companies in the housing industry throughout Germany in the area of employer offers and services.

We accompanied the benchmarking process as a partner within an interdisciplinary working group consisting of real estate experts and work psychologists and subsequently presented the results of the scientific study in a report.
