Ontario-based Golspie Dairy is “dairy farming since 1874, cheesemaking since 2022”. The new packaging for their Crowdie – a soft, fresh cheese variety hailing from Scotland – uses Parisian as the primary typeface, with Palatino and Gotham for secondary information. The Golspie logo is in Broadway.

A bold label for bold flavours: Jerk Dogs are a product to meet the needs of a modern consumer who craves bold flavours. We created packaging that alludes to the heritage of the jerk spice that feels fresh and contemporary.

Cafézia offers a unique version of coffee that has been infused with tasteless herbs, giving it additional qualities of less stomach upset and less “jitters”.

Such a coffee has a very specific positioning in this category, and requires some degree of education to help consumers understand its benefits.

We put Cafezia’s value proposition squarely into both the branding and packaging with artwork that directly illustrates what you can expect to find within each bag. We paired this with friendly approachable typefaces that showcase the community ethos of the brand.

Booch was one of the first successful commercial kombuchas to launch in Ontario, Canada.

As the company has grown, the owner has remained true to her original philosophy of staying grounded, being highly collaborative with local partners, and to create a sustainable beverage company.

Aligned with this mission, she noticed that the lemongrass used in the making of kombucha still had a lot of essence left in its leaves after its first pressing.

She decided to create a zero calorie sparkling water product to stretch the lemongrass flavour further, thereby reducing waste. The result is Squeeze – sparkling water with upcycled ingredients.

We underlined the refreshing, bright flavour of the drink with a bold colour palette, and stayed true to the Booch ethos with the typography and graphics.

In late fall of 2023 2 new flavours were added to the lineup.

These tiny “pots de crème” by Good Pud are an absolute dream, and needed the premium look to go with it. But we also wanted to strike a good balance between a premium look but also not to take ourselves too seriously.

Knowing that the products would eventually go beyond chocolate (but would always be some sort of pudding style), a spoon was the choice for a graphic mark. The elegant but still chunky Bigola Display was used for the main visual identity and is balanced by the understated Sackers Gothic.

The packaging design balanced the premium logomark with whimsical graphics and happy colours.

Great Lakes Farms in southwestern Ontario, Canada is a picturesque setting to get delicious in season apples, peaches, strawberries and more.

The client was looking for a way to generate farm income beyond the typical apple season, by bringing more attention to their other fruit as well as value-added products like baked goods and preserves.

The work included a rebrand and an e-commerce website overhaul.

The project culminated in a hard cider line and so we created an elegant design that remains approachable and fun. The design is intended to be extended across future variations by changing the colours and the flavour name.

Green coffee pamphlet front cover

This pamphlet is included in a green coffee retail box. It tells the story of the farmers in Nicaragua who supply the beans and the company Aroma Nica in Canada that imports them. The printing was done by The Newspaper Club on their 45 gsm salmon paper for a beautfiul feel and finish.

The typography features a number of diverse typefaces. The Aroma Nica logo brings together Monarcha Italic and Tenor Sans. Memoriam with swashes is paired with condensed Knockout caps for the title “Coffee with a conscience”. The text is set in upright Monarcha. Elephant and Casey appear in supporting roles for numbers, quotes, etc.

Montserrat was just the thing to provide the necessary weight to stand out in white against the rich colours of these sauces. Tighter kerning made the look of The Really Nice Sauce Co. more distinct and approachable.
