“Now that I am out of memory, I am grateful to the objects that remind me of the past.” This book presents a selection of Paula Molina’s most relevant work in analog photography. It includes the texts that accompanied these images at some point, as well as the descriptions of some techniques that she has used from 2018 to 2023. Her encounters with photosensitive material, light, and the variants that she managed to explore during this time, and that continue exploring. Her encounters with melancholy, visual sensations, and dream spaces. The brilliant moments that resonate in movement and color. This book perhaps marks the closing and beginning of a stage in her life and work, representing her first legacy to the world. Paula Molina is a filmmaker from Bogota, Colombia. During her career she specialized in cinematography and directing within production.

For the book titled Resonancias Lumínicas it was decided to choose the color yellow as a representation of light, the simple design seeks to give all the focus to the images. On the cover, Rhubarb was used in outline to represent the path of light that shapes the images through light, with adjusted endings of the R and L to fit the cover. TWK Lausanne was used for the body text, which is comfortable to read at any text size.

The sound identity of Artificio, a label from Medellín, Colombia, is not pigeonholed and is imagined outside of paradigms. For its first compilation, the label brings together artists from different latitudes who share the discipline of rhythms faithful to experimentation. Ficciones includes twelve songs that play between ambient, noise, electro, breakbeat, drum’n’bass and techno, and push the lines that help us in some way to define the breadth of electronic music. Ross, Amantra, Miguel Isaza, Erre Ye, Noise Casino, Arcane Prospect, Miguel Isaza, Soft Collision, SLRCT, Rainmaker, AA, Vikhaa, Ren, and M. Blair all feature a new narrative that blends into the diverse and exciting landscape that is the sonic universe of Artificio.

Ficciones is inspired by a storybook written by Jorge Luis Borges. It seeks to represent the diversity of Latin American sounds to bring the immensity of the south as close as possible to the whole world. We decided to appropriate the s of “south” written with TWK Everett to recreate the Mughal typeface from the album logo as if it was made in ASCII language.

This EP reflects one's artistic growth seen from a circular temporality; in which we all start a process from one point, and instead of ending in another completely different one, we tend to return to the same places, people, memories, situations, songs, and ideas but grown and transformed.

We based the design on a fairy ring to show the circular temporality and at the same time, represent the melancholic and romantic magic atmosphere of the album. This EP is a letter that Mariana wrote to herself. Her name is set in Wired and the album title in Nautica Line, both with widened proportions. Smaller bits are added in Graphik and Ogg Display. “A poem” uses Nautica.

Ultima Floración is the latest EP of Arcane Prospect, an electronic music (techno) project that seeks to reflect the ephemeral but beautiful melancholy that constant life has. In order to express this feeling I used Arachne that, thanks to its serifs, reflects the melancholy. I modified it, turning it into a more vertically extended version that will occupy the entire format to signify a statement of this moment. At the same time a superposition of the letters u and f set in Sword will generate a relationship with the Artificio record label which produced the record. On the back a composition using Telegraf and Fit adds an interesting contrast by dividing each of the songs.

Rompeolas (breakwater) is an independent music record label and audiovisual production company in Colombia, which through self-managed work seeks to make emerging talent visible with an experimental and disruptive projection.

The identity is based on the concept of doing things differently, of “breaking the wave”, revealing a series of forms that are related to the organic nature of the waves and break the compositions.

The logo is based on Shokoofeh, customized to make all the glyphs different, with the purpose of expressing the particular way in which they cover any project differently from self-management. Obviously is used for accompanying text.

In order to live in different contexts and allow the brand to have more freedom when expressing itself, a variable version of the logo is developed that represents the movement of the waves from its birth until it breaks with a breakwater.

The graphic system is based on a series of forms that are related to the organic nature of the waves and that seeks to break the compositions to communicate the disruptive and different way in which they see art.

Intentos por dejarse caer dentro (“Attempts to fall inside”) is a Colombian experimental short film, directed by Jonas Radžiūnas. It reflects on reality and psychologically plays with perception.

For the graphics, we made a comparison between the Rorschach test and the way the subconscious interprets the short film.

The image references the inkblot slides of the Rorschach tests, making the interpretation of the poster subjective and plays a psychological role just like the interpretation of the film. We use a 3D technique to express the experimental and avant-garde character of the film.

The film’s title stems from the idea of ​​exploring the subconscious as a spiral fall. To communicate this in the header, the typography was intervened by prolonging the serifs in a spiral shape.

To support the idea of ​​the Rorschach test, we created a graphic system that works in reflection and symmetry, making reference to how the spots are built and seeking that all the elements in the graph can be reinterpreted.

The context of the short film is marked by the social controversy brought about by the results of the 2018 presidential elections in Colombia and the feeling of uncertainty that began to generate a collective disagreement. This film seeks to question the subjective way in which we perceive life in order to incite a sociocultural change, understanding that we must let ourselves fall inside to change our context.

Artificio’s Mix Tape Vol 01, ft. PT Mono.

Artificio is an independent electronic music record label, established in Antioquia, Colombia, using vinyl records for its mixes.

Being a label that was born during the pandemic, Artificio chooses to express the idea of ​​sound as a detonation that transmutes the body and allows to reconstruct a devastated world. It sought to communicate this concept of transmutation in the logo, through the superposition of two typefaces, Elastik and Sword.

El Enemigo (“The Enemy”) is a YouTube channel that reviews and documents emerging Colombian music, becoming today one of the most relevant figures on the national scene. The new identity sought to reach all the diversity of its audience by transmitting its critical and objective position, and to communicate that music must be an act of interaction between cultural diversity.

The logo is based on Eckmannpsych. The font’s lowercase glyphs have been combined with scaled-down uppercase forms for E and L for a biform/unicase look. Some characters – such as N, I, M – were customized to achieve better readability when used in reduction.

Each of the various categories is represented by an icon in the form of an E. Some of them use digital fonts, some are based on showings found in an old type catalog, and some are custom drawn.
