For the creation of the visual identity of the Ron Mueck exhibition at Fondation Cartier, deValence focused on the monumental nature of the artist’s work.

It was this physicality that they transcribed onto all graphic media to create a coherent overall project: creation of communication media, design of digital communication, signage and monitoring of the original creation of a soundtrack with composer Pablo Altar.

The main typeface used for all design is Nicéphore. The serif used for secondary information is Untitled Serif.

  1. Hi Alex,

Can you comment on the title, “Ron Mueck”? Is this lettering based on Nicéphore? The proportions strike me as narrower than in the retail version, and I don’t see these forms for R and M in the alternates.

  2. Alex writes:

The title “Ron Mueck” (but not the rest of the communication) is set in a previous, rougher, version of Nicéphore.
