The video game Bouncers was a one-on-one game where the two players – both anthropomorphic basketballs – tried to sink themselves into baskets for points. It was an exclusive to the Sega CD, and though it wasn’t a major hit they did manage to get the legendary Mark Hamill to voice some of the characters! The Cartoon 12 font is used on the title screen as well as the credits sequence.

5 Comments on “Bouncers

  1. Here’s a video of this game, which opens with the animations introducing each character. They sure are from 1994.

  2. The start menu uses an all-caps bitmap version of Revue.

  3. Maybe the logo uses a font as well; to me, it looks like a modified version of Helvetica Rounded or a similar face.

  4. Update on the previous comment; the game logo is likely Helvetica Rounded Black, manually squished and with the lowercase o replaced with a big circle.

  5. Spot on! Added.
